About Emerge CenterOur roots are strong. And our future is even stronger. In April 2008, two outstanding and respected organizations–Brewster Center Domestic Violence Services (established in 1963) and Tucson Centers for Women and Children (established in 1975)–came together to form Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse. Emerge! is the largest domestic abuse shelter and provider of domestic abuse prevention services and programs in Southern Arizona

Our Programs Include:

  • Two emergency shelters
  • Two housing programs
  • Two outreach and advocacy centers
  • An accredited community-based childcare center that is open to the public
  • Prevention, education, and volunteer programs

We’re committed to improving and expanding services to all members of our community who are experiencing domestic abuse in their lives.

Our mission says it all: Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse provides the opportunity to create, sustain, and celebrate a life free from abuse. With our new name, logo, and tagline, we’ve created a new brand that renews our pledge to…

  • be there for people who have encountered all types of domestic abuse,
  • educate others about domestic abuse and its impact, and
  • inspire the support that allows us to provide high quality programs and services

It takes courage for individuals to seek help and take that first step toward making a change. We are an organization that addresses all forms of abusive behavior, not just physical violence. It’s why we’re here. We help our participants find their way to a better life.
